VIVID Sydney is the most extravagant of Australia’s festivals, positioning Sydney as Asia-Pacific’s creative capital. Though the festival is experienced on the ground, we needed to push VIVID’s website into the stratosphere.

The challenge? How could we create a personalised and immersive digital experience that excites, engages and encourages repeat visitations throughout the festival? The solution? A website that personalises a user’s experience based on their preferences, and guides them to discover new interests, plan visits, track events and purchase tickets. The result? 14% increase in site visits. 26% increase in leads. 48% increase in ‘BUY TICKETS’. 41% increase in user database. 156% increase in all events.






An fresh UX approach and design showed VIVID Sydney in a whole new light, while remaining consistent with the brand legacy.




Personalisation takes priority, allowing users to quickly filter through the 100s of attractions VIVID has to offer, easing their experience and allowing for relevant exploration.




Mobile-first with no fault in experience. The powerful search field puts everything infront of the user with efficiency and accuracy.





At 6pm everyday, the website flips to nightmode to save the user’s eyes for the real light show.




The new map feature puts the lights, music and ideas right into the user’s hands, whether they’re on the ground or exploring their interests.




Booking an event is easy with checkout integration and day-before reminders of a user’s reservations.
